What's in my bag?

I've always wanted to do one of these posts because I always LOVE reading everyone else's!  So here's mine...

1. Post a picture of the bag, purse, handbag, pocketbook [whatever you call it] that you are carrying. Now, don't you even think about going back there to your closet and getting your very favorite one or that cute little vintage clutch that you carried the last time you went out...I want to see the purse that you carried today!

2. Tell us how much it cost. Oh my, I know what you are thinking - a proper lady would never discuss matters of money, darling. Well, yes, but today we are gonna break that rule and tell. Yes, tell how much it cost. We won't judge. This is for entertainment purposes only. And if there is a story that goes along with this purse, tell it.

This is the bag that I carry around most of the time just now.  It's from River Island and I think it cost about £36.99, something like that?  I love River Island bags.

This is what it's full of!  Let's have a closer look...

Topshop loose blush in Rosy
Snowfairy lip tint from Lush
Tin of Vaseline Rose
Revlon lipglosses in Pink Crystals & Pink Pop
Urban Decay Heavy Metal eye glitter in Power Ballad
Kylie Minogue Darling perfume

Bodyform poodle tin
a loose Tampax!
painkillers
little brush with a little mirror from Claire's Accessories

My diary.  This was a Christmas present!
My purse from River Island
My keys (my flat, mum & dad's, Nana's & work) plus keyrings
Work pass

Gloves from Accessorize
iPod
Umbrella, can't remember where this is from.... maybe Peacocks
A pen!  Probably stolen from work

There was also stuff from the bank & bus tickets in there but you don't need a close up of that :)

So there it is!  Hope you enjoyed reading mine as much as I love reading all yours! :) xx

A man that smells of cocoa butter & cash

Sooooooooooooo, hi :)

I went to the doctors on Friday regarding my pill/headache issues.  She was about to give me a different pill but before that she took my blood pressure.  My blood pressure has always been fine.  For some reason, on Friday it was too high :-/ she said it could be connected to my heart issues, maybe not but she wasn't comfortable giving me another pill while my blood pressure was up and so asked if I would come off it for 6/8 weeks and see how it goes with everything.  Which means relying on condoms for a while, eeeeek.  I'm back at the hospital on Friday for my heart so I'm just playing the waiting game just now to see what happens and see what all the doctors are going to say.

In other news, me & bf took Friday & Monday off work :) so on Friday after the doctor, we went for breakfast./  I had lovely pancakes & syrup, yummmmmmmmmmm.  Then we went to have a little look round the shops, then to the cinema to see Despicable Me in 3D, which was so funny :) we then went for lunch and then back to the cinema to see Red, which was great too.  Had a cosy night in after that :)  On Monday we plan to stay in aaaaaaaaaaaaaall day and watch films in the flat with loads of sweets & chocolate.  Might sounds sad to some people but I am looking forward to it :)

Yesterday I went shopping.  I went to La Senza and got measured, then bought 2 bras in my new size.  Well, it wasn't really a different size, the thing was that I don't really suit a plunge bra, I much more suit a balconette bra!  It's true, my boobies look much bigger & better in a balconette bra!  I then headed to the train station to make a trip to my nearest Primark, which is in Dunfermline.  Normally I can get a train from Edinburgh Waverley to Dunfermline & back no problem, but I discovered yesterday that there are engineering works from now til December, which made my trip a million times more difficult.  I had to get a train from Waverley to Haymarket.  At Haymarket (which is still in Edinburgh), no one knew what was going on, not even the staff.  They didn't know which train was leaving from which platform and when, so it was a little difficult!  Finally managed to get to Dunfermline and got my shopping done.  Getting back from Dunfermline was even more difficult than getting there!  When I got to the station in Dunfermline there had just been a train to Haymarket cancelled, and there was no information about the next train.  Eventually got one, then had to wait aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages for a train at Haymarket to Waverley.  The platform was so busy and there was loads of screaming, crazy kids :( I hate kids at the best of times but when they're shout & screaming it is just my worst nightmare.  Anyway!  Made it home eventually!!! :)

Got home, put my shopping bags in then headed back out to the supermarket to get some vodka for a party I was going to last night.  I bought Absolut pear vodka & lemonade.  My friend brought over orange vodka & champagne!  We had a drink in mine then headed to the party, which was a bit weird.  The birthday girl had asked everyone to dress "formally".  I enjoyed getting all dressed up but there was actually guys wearing tuxes & bow ties, and everything was a bit strange & subdued and we just got bored so we sneaked out!  We walked about Edinburgh for ages before finding food then heading home.  Had a bit of a headache this morning but fine apart from that :) xx

This must be the place

Hi, happy Saturday :)

I hope you've had a good week, mine's been pretty good.

I had a training course Monday & Tuesday, which was alright, not the best course I've been on but it was kinda fun and I met some nice people.  Aaaaand some "interesting" people.  I got particularly well with this one guy, and I noticed the other day that we are on another course together in November! :)

Back to work on Wednesday.  It was ok, then Thursday was really busy.  Yesterday was ok at work but I had to stay kinda late.  I got my mid-year review as well.  I got a good mark but I really hate reviews.  They make me all nervous.  I just hate the idea of sitting in a room while someone tells you how good or bad you are.  I just want to get on with my work.

Last night I went to a friend's flat for a while for a little drink then I just came home.  It wasn't a late one.
Boyfriend has been very cute this week :) <3 he phoned me from work on Thursday evening saying he was leaving to go to the shop to buy something for dinner and I said I would meet him and go the walk with him.  So I met him and he said he wanted to go to Tesco, but he said not the usual Tesco we go to, he wanted to go to "the other one, up the hill".  "Is there another one up there?" I asked.  "Yes." he said.  So I said ok and we started walking.  He stopped outside a nice restaurant and said "There's Tesco there!"  He was actually surprising me by taking me out for dinner :) awwwww!  Luckily I hadn't thought "Oh, we're only going to Tesco" and dressed like a tramp ha ha, I actually looked ok to be in the restaurant :)

Then, we were in bed the other night and just before midnight, he got up and said "Oh, I just have to go and switch my computer off, I've been downloading anti-virus stuff".  He was away for quite a while but I wasn't bothered, I ended up falling asleep!  But he lied!  It was nothing to do with anti-virus stuff, guess what he was doing?  Booking tickets for us to go and see Harry Potter on the day it's released!  He doesn't even like Harry Potter he just knows how much I do!  So sweet! :)

Staying in tonight and watching the X Factor, no plans for tomorrow so far :) xx

Sharing

I work from 3 different offices in Edinburgh.  The one I work from mostly, is the one closest to my flat.  I have a 10 minute walk home which is full of lovely scenery, and I thought I would share it with you! :) here are some shots I took on the way home tonight...

Baby you're a firework

Heylo, wow it's so cold again!  I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, it is kinda almost November!

I finished my training course at work yesterday.  I acted in a video with my team, for the rest of the group to watch.  I played a "difficult" employee and it was so embarrassing to act!  Also I found it so hard to keep a smile off my face!  Just about managed it though.  Then it was sooooooooooo cringe-worthy sitting with the rest of the group watching it!  I was so out of my comfort zone, but that's good.  Got to get out there!  I met some nice people on the course too, so it was all good :)

I had a splitting headache last night.  It sort of came from nowhere.  I had a slight headache during the day, took painkillers, which made no difference.  Painkillers hardly ever help me with headaches.  I think I just take them out of habit when I get a headache.  The only ones that ever make any difference are soluble Solpadine but I don't want to take them too often.  Anyway, the headache carried on after I got home, and then suddenly it got drastically worse.  I had to switch the laptop off there and then and go straight to bed.  When my boyfriend came in he got me Solpadine.  I was just going to try and sleep it off  but the last time I had a headache like that, I managed to get to sleep but it was still there when I woke up in the middle of the night.  The Solpadine helped a lot.  At first I thought it was because I'd worn my contact lenses all day, but I've now decided that it's my Pill.

When I first got the pill when I was 17, the doctor put me on Microgynon.  I later came off that (can't remember when) and changed to Cileste.  I was on that for a good few years before I stopped it.  I only stopped it because I wasn't having sex at the time.  I remember that for those years I was on Cileste I suffered from bad & constant headaches, but I never put it down to the pill.  I was never out of the doctors about my headaches and they ended up sending me for an MRI scan, which came back clear, and they could never explain them.  I got sick of going in the end and just put up with the headaches.  It was terrible though, I could hardly do anything, it was hard to cope at work, I couldn't have a drink or do other "normal" things.

Eventually, thankfully, the headaches subsided.  I now realise that they probably subsided, because I stopped taking Cileste, and when I went back on the pill, it was a different one, it was Ovranette.  I've had a few pill-related issues recently and the doctor had suggested I change pill, and gave me Cileste.  Surprise surprise, the headaches are back!  I'm blaming Cileste!  I've made an appointment to go back and to explain this and get a different pill, but it's not til next Friday.  I don't want to stop taking the pill before then just in case so I'll just have to put up with it til then.  I was in tears last night, mainly because I was so worried that things were going to go back to the way they used to be when I was plagued with headaches.

Health issues!!!  Between this and going back to the hospital about my heart I am swamped with them! xoxo

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

It's cold tonight, eh?!  I just made me & boyfriend hot chocolate to heat us up.  Orange hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.  Mmmmmmmm!

I felt like crap yesterday.  I just didn't feel good at all and was miserable.  I perked up a bit later on though and I was fine today, but now I am shattered!  Can't wait for bed but I think it's a little early yet!  Hopefully a good sleep will sort me out.

I was on a management course today.  Day 1 of 2 so I'm back tomorrow.  We have been put in groups and we all have a project to manage.  My group have to make a video about how to deal with "difficult situations".  Yes you read that right, a video, not a dvd, because of cut backs!  Bit nervous about how that's going to turn out, especially as I'm going to be in the video, eeeeeeeeek!  I do like these training courses though, I like a change of scenery and I like meeting new people.  And anything's better than sitting at your desk, right?  As I said, I'm going to be in the video, so I have to think carefully about what to wear tomorrow....... hmmmmmm.

I really need to start exercise again.  I'm either going to start going to Zumba, or Spin.  What do you think?  I used to do Spin aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the time when I was younger and loved it.  Never done Zumba before but I hear such good things about it.  I think I'll try a Zumba class first.  Could probably do them both :) think I will start with a Zumba class next Monday night.

I love it when you double clap clap

So happy it's Saturday :) I love the weekend, and as sad as it may sound, was really looking forward to this one as me & my bf both had no plans and it's good to just relax :)

I had to nip to the shops during my lunch hour yesterday.  Well really I had to nip to the bank but the bank is near all the shops so it'd be rude not to pop in to H&M, Boots & the £ shop while I was in the area!  I bought...

Barry M Spring Green (290) & Instant Nail Effects (311) from Boots.  You may have heard of Nail Effects? It's gives an interesting effect to your nails!  Not sure how to describe it but I'm just using it now so will post a pic later.  Also if you Google I'm sure you'll find an example :)

Vanilla & Apple body lotion, big jewelled hairclips & eyelash curlers from H&M.  I did need an new body lotion & the blue coloured packaging appealed to me.  Not 100% sure I love the smell though.  I did already buy eyelash curlers this week from Boots... but I didn't think they were that great so giving these a go!  I have no excuse for buying the hairclips other than that I thought they were gorgeous and couldn't leave without them!! :)

Also had to buy these...
Gloves for fake tanning, painkillers, Milky Bar Raisin & Biscuit aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand........ Milka Bar with popping candy!  I love popping candy.  This went down well with bf too.

Had a bit of a lie in this morning then we took a walk and went out for breakfast, was nice!  Wish we always had time to do lovely things like this.

In other news... I got a letter this morning to go back to the hospital about my heart.  To cut a long story short I've been in hospital twice with my heart because it suddenly developed a weird heartbeat.  Totally out of the blue.  The first time I was in hospital I got 2 ECG's, chest x-ray, blood tests etc etc, then I had to go back and have a heart scan, then had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours.  Handed the heart monitor back in 2 weeks ago and now have to go back on 5th November.  I'm actually quite keen to go and find out what it is.  The nurses who fitted the monitor told me that if it wasn't serious then they wouldn't get in touch at all and I would need to go to my GP who would then have to chase the hospital for the results.  I was going to do that for my own curiosity, but now I don't have to.  That sounds a bit bad, because obviously it is sort of serious then, if they have got back to me themselves?  Have to wait and see but it can't be that bad or I think they would of had me in sooner...   xx
